Plaudit Design Helps Experts Provide Radiation Answers

The website provides a large body of reliable information about radiation to answer virtually every question about the sources, uses and safety of radiation. Sponsored by an association of radiation professionals, the content of the website has been reviewed by independent experts to ensure that the website provides the most accurate information available anywhere.

The Minneapolis web design firm included several extras that help the website attain its objectives. One such feature is a “site search” that helps visitors find answers to the questions that interest them and also provides feedback through Plaudit Design's site analytic tools to help the Health Physics Society discover the topics that people are most interested in.

Another unique feature of the website is a dynamic unit conversion tool. Visitors can select either “rem” or “Sv” units through a widget that appears on every page of the website. All radiation doses are then displayed in the selected units.

Rather than just a static repository, the website is constantly improving as the Health Physics Society uses Plaudit Design's Content Management System (CMS) to add more information as research improves the scientific community's understanding of radiation and its uses.
